This is one of the two feature films that had ATC as one of their locations this summer, and used our students in the shoot!
The Tale of Nicky Newark is about Bobby Cannonnolli, gritty parole officer in Newark NJ. This dark comedy follows Bobby as he balances the crazy parolees of his day job with his secret desire to be an actor along with the responsibilities of being a husband and father. Along the way Bobby meets Claire, a fellow acting student who opens up Bobby's worldview to the point that he begins to realize that maybe he really does have a choice in life.
In the shadows are his arch nemesis, Jonnie Spiers, who feels that something just isn't right with Bobby...but can he figure out what it is.
The Tale of Nicky Newark stars Frank Whaley, Kelly Stables, Sean Patrick Flanery, Chase Coleman, and NJ standup comedian Mike Marino.
Directed by ATC’s artistic director, Kathleen Kellaigh. ATC adult students are encouraged to audition.
